Friends of Faith was started in October of 2008 by a group of 25 parents seeking fun activities for their special needs children. This non-profit ministry seeks to include all special needs young adults (of all faiths) who have a desire to fellowship with Friends of Faith.
Activities include special field trips (fishing, swimming, museums, bowling, shopping and many more), art, music, exercise, special craft projects, guest speakers and daily Christian devotionals. This program emphasizes fellowship and fun for all shared with special friends.
Trained leaders (combined 40 years experience with special needs), dedicated volunteers and devoted parents have made this the best activity program available for special needs people. This program is offered on a daily or weekly basis. We serve mental and physical disabilities. Some of the cities our kids come from are: Bartlett, Cordova, Collierville, Germantown, Somerville, and Oakland.
Our mission at Friends of Faith Ministry, Inc. is to provide a safe environment for every person who needs more individual attention in a Christ-centered, family-type environment to meet and interact with their peers. We want our participants to reach the greatest feeling of independence in developing their social skills, working on projects to boost their self-esteem, and developing a remarkable work ethic. We are a ministry to assist every physically and mentally challenged person in participating in community activities.
